Viewer 2 Beta intuivo…y abre horizontes en referencia virtual
Second Life™ estrenó en esta semana su Viewer 2 Beta. Yo soy fanática de Greenlife Emerald Viewer, sin embargo hay otros que prefieren Snow Globe o el visor (viewer) regular que se instala con el programado. Ahora con los cambios en este visor (viewer) regular de Second Life, entender y usar la plataforma es mucho mas facil ya que van dirigidos a que sea más intuitivo.
Son muchos los cambios y alteraciones pero voy a mencionar los que nos atañen:
- Entre los cambios está una barra de navegación con botones adelante y atrás. Incluso se pueden guardar los favoritos y revisar el historial de teletransportación (a donde fuimos en SL).
- La búsqueda es mejorada, impulsada por la tecnología de Google Search Appliance lo que hace que sea más fácil encontrar amigos, lugares y cosas interesantes.
- Los anuncios son más pequeños y elimina las molestas cajas azules.
- Y el cambio más extraordinario de todos: se puede ver ahora la red en cualquier “prim” o superficie que construyamos interactivamente. Cualquier prim ahora puede permitir que aparezcan páginas web a las que se puede hacer clic y escribir si tienen cuadros de texto e introducir datos sin que tenga que abrir el browser del programa. Es ahí mismo. Flash y Java son activado también.
¿Qué significa todo esto? Que la plataforma en tres dimensiones permite exactamente la experiencia que tenemos con la computadoras sin tener que salir o utilizar otra pantalla aunque sea dentro de SL. Traslada nuestros monitores dentro del programado con Flash y Java. El chat en Internet y correo electrónico toman otra dimensión. Las posibilidades son infinitas para la referencia virtual, incluso móvil. La co-navegación con un usuario ahora es posible desde SL ya que Flash y Java completan la experiencia. La educación a distancia por ende tomará otro giro, los estudiantes podrán interactuar dentro (in-world) exactamente como si entraran con su PC en la mano a SL. Incluso acerca a los que nos están en SL con los que si, pues ya no hay distancias. Estaré explorando…manténganse en sintonía… 😉

Google Liquid Galaxy
Google sigue en el intento de poner un pie delante y este nuevo producto (en etapa Beta por supuesto) me ha dejado boquiabierta:
Google Liquid galaxy tiene ocho computadoras independientes ejecutarlo y está pilotado por un controlador SixAxis de PS3. Lo que puedo decir es ¡Ay mi madre!, la versión criolla de OMG!
Necesidades de un nativo digital
Esta en “frames” o marcos, le van diciendo lo que debe decir pero es dispuesta y no deja de llamar la atención…
